Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a few of the most asked questions we get from customers.

How much does it cost to have you tell me what's wrong with my computer?

We charge a flat $40.00 fee to diagnose any issues you may be having with your computer. This fee will be applied to your repair or any parts needed to fix any issues you may be having. If you elect to not have us perform the suggested work, then you only pay the $40.00 fee.

** Madison County Residents: Please note that we plan on trying to coordinate one Saturday a month, having a free computer checkup event. During this event you may bring in your computer and have us do a free diagnosis of your machine for any issues. Appointment slots are limited so call and schedule yours as soon as possible. Walk-ins will be welcome if time allows. This event is limited to Madison County residents only at this time.

How much do I have to pay up front?

We do ask that the $40.00 fee be paid upfront for us to evaluate your computer. If your computer requires parts, we do require that a portion of the invoice be paid up front and the remaining balance will be due upon pickup.

Do you guarantee your work?

Absolutely! You can view our full policies and warranty information by visiting our warranty page.

Can you repair my phone or tablet?

Yes and no. If you have a more modern day smartphone, then more than likely we can help. If you have an older flip phone, then we will not be able to assist in the repairing of your phone unless it is for a replacement part such as a battery.

In addition, we only stock the most requested parts for repairs. Depending on your phone model, we may have to order the part which normally takes 2 to 3 business days to arrive. Once we have your part, we will contact you and set up an appointment for you to bring in your phone or tablet.

Is all my data going to be lost?

Good question. To be honest, it all depends on what’s wrong with your computer. Most of the time, we can recover data from your hard drive without issue, even if your computer will not power on. However, in extreme cases, such as complete hard drive failure, we will not be able to recover your data.

When you bring your computer for a general repair, we ask that you have backed up your data on an external drive such as a USB thumb drive or external hard drive, or that you have it backed up into a cloud service such as OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive. If you are not familiar with how to back up your files, please let us know and we can make sure all your files are backed up for a small fee.

We want to make it perfectly clear that it is your responsibility to back up your data or to let us know you have not so that we can offer a backup solution for you to prevent any data loss.
